A Rainy Fall Evening

The day is cold, and dark, and dreary; It rains and the wind is never weary. The vine still clings to the moldering wall, but at every gust the dead leaves fall, And the day is dark and dreary.

It rains, and the wind is never weary...The hopes of youth fall thick in the blast, and the days are dark and dreary.

Be Still, sad heart! And cease repining: Behind the clouds the sun's still shining! Thy fate is the common fate of all - Into each life some rain must fall...Some days must be dark and dreary.

From the poem "The Rainy Day" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

It's raining at our house this evening...inside and out. Julia is well enough to go back to school tomorrow I think, but David still feels puny. We are praying with tears for our son Ben... he is struggling with mental issues concerning his life right now. But MY SAVIOR LOVES, MY SAVIOR LIVES, MY SAVIOR'S ALWAYS THERE FOR ME. In the words of the older song, "(Jesus) Holds the powers of hell at bay."
Our faith looks up to Thee, Heavenly Father.
