Last Update Before Christmas

Alright Folks! One more photo before I put this away...I did not get much farther but you can see what has been done since last post. I hope this is appreciated for the countless hours I have put in so far, and the countless hours yet to go!

Merry Christmas and
God Bless Us Everyone!

Artwork Update

There is no way I will be finished with this before I will wrap it up and present it and tell the recipient that I will take it back home with me and complete it! Hopefully before I wrap it at the last minute I will take one more snapshot to share here. Wish me success please! :)

December Art Work 2

This is probably my most ambitious project to date...
I am trying to paint a picture of a deer in some blackjack oak leaves...
I may have bitten off more than I bargained for!
I will be attempting to finish this before Christmas...for certain reasons :)

beginning stage...

I had to travel around a bit to take a live picture of a blackjack in the area...on our side of the county they don't seem to grow...and of course I had waited too long to get a photo of good fall color, so I printed off some reference shots from online. I had to flip my photo to get the branch going the way I needed it.

so far...and such a long way yet to go!

I will post an update when I get further along...
it has taken me HOURS just to get to this point.

Enjoy preparing for the Christmas Holiday!

December Art Work

I just finished another handpainted birthday card...this time for my aunt who has a December birthday! My reference photo was one I got online, of either hot apple cider or cinnamon-apple tea.  I think my photo came from Pinterest...or maybe it was tumblr...

Here it is on my worktable, while it was still a "work in progress"

And here is the completed project!

If you follow me elsewhere online, you may notice that I had said in another post that this was for my pastor's wife...but my aunt's birthday came first, so I sent it on to her-family first you know! Now I will have to do something else for Sister Sylvia...I will probably use a copy of this teacup and alter it somehow with my photo- editing software.

Warm wishes for YOUR happy December, also!
